We are delighted to be working with a welcoming Children's Centre based within a primary school in Islington that is seeking a committed Early Years Educator to join their supportive team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality early education in line with the EYFS, within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
The setting places children's wellbeing, development, and early learning experiences at the heart of everything they do. Staff are encouraged to bring creativity, warmth, and confidence into their practice, supporting children to thrive through engaging, play-based learning.
Role Overview
Position: Early Years Educator
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Islington, North London
Pay: £16.42 - £17.05 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: 08:30am - 4:30pm
Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week
Key Responsibilities
As an Early Years Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting children's early development and learning, including:
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Supporting children's social, emotional, and educational development through play-based learning
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and supported
- Observing, assessing, and tracking children's progress to inform next steps in learning
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting children's wellbeing
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high-quality early years provision
- Building strong relationships with parents and carers to support each child's development
- Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold a CACHE Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years
- Have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Hold a valid Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certificate (essential)
- Be enthusiastic, nurturing, and passionate about early childhood education
- Work well as part of a team and contribute positively to the setting
- Be confident in supporting children's learning and development in a play-based environment
