KS1 Teacher - Oldham (Full-Time, Starting May)

Tradewind are currently recruiting for a committed and inspiring KS1 teacher to join a welcoming primary school on a full-time basis from May. This opportunity is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners, offering excellent support and opportunities for professional development at every stage of your career.

You will take full responsibility for a Year 1 class from May through to the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to be extended. The schools implements an engaging and balanced curriculum, with a wide range of resources available for teaching staff, whilst priding itself on its nurturing ethos, strong leadership, and collaborative staff team, making it a fantastic environment to grow and thrive.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience teaching within KS1 (Year 1 or Year 2), with a strong understanding of the national curriculum
  • Knowledge of Read Write Inc. phonics, or a willingness to learn and confidently deliver the programme
  • A nurturing and inclusive approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
  • Familiarity with schemes such as White Rose Maths and Oxford Reading Tree to support high-quality teaching and learning
  • Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to contribute fully to school life

All applicants must have QTS and teaching experience in KS1. In addition, you will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and will need to provide 2 excellent references.
