Supply SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary Schools (Birmingham)

Are you a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking for flexible supply work in Birmingham primary schools?

We are currently seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about inclusion and making a real difference in children's learning and development.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEN
  • Support children with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
  • Assist the class teacher with learning activities and behaviour support
  • Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Follow individual education plans (IEPs) and school policies

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school‑based or relevant setting)
  • A patient, empathetic and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
