About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a school's Inclusion Unit, supporting students who require additional guidance to succeed both academically and emotionally. As an Inclusion Unit TA, you will play a vital role in promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and reintegration into mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs
• Implement behaviour management strategies and support plans
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
• Support learning across a range of subjects
• Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, or similar role
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
• Experience supporting students with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour (desirable)
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
