School Caretaker - North Sheffield (ASAP Start)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to support a welcoming school in North Sheffield. This is an immediate start opportunity for candidates who take pride in maintaining safe, clean and secure school environments.

Working Hours Options

We are recruiting across several shift patterns to suit operational needs:

Option 1: Split Shift

  • 6:00am - 9:30am
  • 2:00pm - 6:00pm
  • Total: 7.5 hours per day / 37.5 hours per week

Option 2: Two-Person Coverage

Caretaker A

  • 6:00am - 2:00pm (includes 30-minute break)
  • Total: 7.5 hours per day / 37.5 hours per week

Caretaker B

  • 2:00pm - 6:00pm
  • Total: 4 hours per day / 20 hours per week

Option 3: Two-Person Coverage

Caretaker C

  • 6:00am - 10:00am
  • Total: 4 hours per day / 20 hours per week

Caretaker D

  • 10:00am - 6:00pm (includes 30-minute break)
  • Total: 7.5 hours per day / 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Opening and securing the school site
  • General maintenance and minor repairs
  • Supporting cleaning and site cleanliness standards
  • Carrying out health & safety checks
  • Setting up rooms for school activities and events
  • Liaising with staff and external contractors
  • Ensuring the site remains safe, secure, and well-maintained

What We're Looking For

  • Previous caretaker, site, or maintenance experience (preferred)
  • Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
  • Reliability and good timekeeping
  • Ability to work independently
  • A proactive, hands-on approach
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
