1-Year Maternity Cover

MPS/UPS + TLR 2b ( approx £6,000)

A Church of England primary school in Hillingdon is recruiting an experienced Year 6 Teacher & KS2 Phase Leader for a full-time maternity cover role starting September 2026.

This is a key leadership position, overseeing Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) while teaching a well-prepared Year 6 class. The class benefits from strong prior attainment, 2 SEND pupils, and full-time TA support, with shared PPA alongside the parallel Year 6 teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and lead Year 6, preparing pupils for SATs
• Lead and support KS2 (Years 3-6) as Phase Leader
• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons with strong pace and challenge
• Maintain excellent behaviour management and high expectations

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience in UKS2 / Year 6
• Strong leadership or phase leadership experience desirable
• Proactive, organised, and committed to high standards
