Job Description

A large and well-regarded secondary school in West London is seeking a Business and Economics Teacher to join their team from September 2026.

The school is looking for someone to start on a long-term contract until at least July 2027. This position is full time, although part-time applicants will be considered. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Salary will match London MPS/UPS.

Business and Economics Teacher - West London

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Business and Economics, covering key topics such as micro and macroeconomics, enterprise, finance, and global markets.
  • Support students' academic progress by developing their analytical thinking, evaluation skills, and understanding of real-world economic issues.
  • Inspire students to think critically about business decision-making and economic environments at both a national and global level.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all learners are supported and challenged.
  • Contribute to the wider department and whole-school community, promoting high standards of achievement and behaviour.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A relevant degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Approachable, enthusiastic, and committed
