🎯 The role
- Full responsibility for a Year 1 class, including planning, teaching, and assessment
- Deliver engaging lessons that support the EYFS to KS1 transition
- Create a nurturing, structured classroom environment
- Work closely with support staff to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
The ideal candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has proven experience teaching in KS1 (Year 1 preferred)
- Confident in managing the transition from EYFS into more structured learning
- Strong understanding of phonics, early literacy and numeracy
- Committed to creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Passionate about contributing to a faith-based school ethos
