🎯 The role

  • Full responsibility for a Year 1 class, including planning, teaching, and assessment
  • Deliver engaging lessons that support the EYFS to KS1 transition
  • Create a nurturing, structured classroom environment
  • Work closely with support staff to meet the needs of all learners, including SEN
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

The ideal candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has proven experience teaching in KS1 (Year 1 preferred)
  • Confident in managing the transition from EYFS into more structured learning
  • Strong understanding of phonics, early literacy and numeracy
  • Committed to creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
  • Passionate about contributing to a faith-based school ethos
