Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Pastoral Support Officer to work in a mainstream secondary school in Daventry, starting as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong behaviour management skills and a genuine interest in student wellbeing, attendance, and pastoral care.

The Role:

As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping to create a positive and structured learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students with behaviour and attendance across the school
• Working closely with pupils to promote positive choices and engagement
• Liaising with parents/carers, teachers, and senior leadership team (SLT)
• Monitoring attendance and following up on absences
• Providing 1:1 and small group pastoral support
• Assisting with behaviour interventions and reintegration strategies
• Contributing to a safe and supportive school environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with young people (school, care, youth work, or similar)
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Confident liaising with parents and external stakeholders
• Calm, resilient, and adaptable approach
• A genuine passion for supporting student wellbeing and development
