Level 3 Nursery Assistant
Tradewind are seeking a Level 3 qualified teaching assistant to support a one-form-entry primary school on a temporary contract in their Nursery class.

  • End date: 15/07/2026
  • Contract type: Temporary -- 2nd summer half term
  • Location: Surrey - border of Croydon and Surrey, Outer London (e.g. Caterham, Coulsdon, Whyteleafe and Warlingham areas)
We are working exclusively with this one-form-entry primary school based on the Croydon/Surrey border. They have an excellent reputation in the area hosting quality education for children aged 4-11 years of age with a Nursery catering for children from 2 years of age.
This is an inclusive school that works hard with parents and the local community to provide the best education for their children, ensuring that they are ready for the next phase in their educational journey.
As a Level 3 Nursery Assistant, during this temporary contract you would be expected to support children aged two years of age. It is imperative you hold a Level 3 childcare related qualification and have paediatric first-aid training.
The school has on-site parking as well as having a direct bus route from Purley bus station, which drops you right outside the school gates.
Trials for this contract due to take place before May half term.
Acceptable Qualifications:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Teaching and Learning
  • Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
  • Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (CACHE)
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD)
  • Level 3 NVQ in Children's Care, Learning and Development
  • Level 3 Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy - Birth to 7
  • Level 3 Diploma in Playwork
  • Level 3 Award/Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (STLS
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Must hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Must have paediatric first-aid training
  • Have recent experience working in a UK primary school setting
  • Have some experience supporting pupils with SEND
  • Demonstrate strong communication, patience and adaptability
  • Be enthusiastic about supporting children's learning and development
  • Hold a CHILD ONLY Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
