As a Primary School Teacher, you will need to be an enthusiastic individual who has a love of working with children and a passion for making a difference. Qualifications to become a Teacher
To become a Primary School Teacher, you will need to have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and there are many different pathways to achieving this. There are a range of graduate and postgraduate pathways, as well as employment-based school training programmes. One particularly popular option is to take the Teach First Programme, however, you will need a 2:1 or better in an applicable subject area and GCSE grades C or above in all core subjects.

- Grade A*-C in Maths, English and Science GCSE Qualifications
- You must have worked with children in some capacity (you will gain work experience as part of your qualification)
- Be able to pass simple numeracy and literacy skills tests
- You will be Disclosure, and Barring Service checked (DBS check)
