International Women’s Day 2026 - #GiveToGain
This International Women’s Day, our teams across the country came together to celebrate the remarkable women we work alongside every day.
Throughout the day we recognised not only the achievements of women within our organisation, but also the countless ways women contribute to our communities, our sector, and our shared mission.
This year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Give To Gain,” shaped our conversations, encouraging us to think about what each of us could give to support and uplift women. Across the country, our teams gathered to explore this year’s theme in depth and to celebrate one another and our achievements.
We took the opportunity to connect with each other and reflect on what giving can look like in everyday life. It can be offering knowledge, expertise, or mentorship. It can be sharing resources or opportunities. It can be making time to support a colleague, advocating for fairness, or using your voice to increase visibility for others.
In the spirit of “Give To Gain”, we invited the women of Tradewind to make a personal pledge - something meaningful to them that they are committed to doing to support other women in 2026. These pledges reflect not only individual promises, but a collective commitment to building a stronger, fairer future for all.
Here’s what some of them shared:
-
“I pledge to uplift all of the women at Tradewind by spreading positivity and complimenting the women around me.”
-
“I pledge to encourage females to recognise their potential by acknowledging their strengths.”
-
“I pledge to always support women’s dreams and ambitions.”
-
“I pledge to encourage women to take up space and not shrink themselves down to fit others’ expectations.”
-
“I pledge to support other girls and be non-judgemental – let’s be kind to each other.”
-
“I pledge to advocate for women’s health.”
-
“I pledge to mentor and support the women I work with.”
Each pledge represents a step toward progress, and a reminder that change often begins with small, intentional actions.
Our International Women’s Day gatherings served as a great reminder of how essential it is to build a culture where women’s voices are amplified, where their achievements are visible, and where their impact is acknowledged and championed - because when women are uplifted, we are all uplifted.
