The Position:

Our Teaching Agency, SANZA, is currently seeking an experienced and energetic learning support assistant to work 1:1 with an Early Years child who has severe Autism.

The role will require experience of Makaton and PECs, due to the high level of need this pupil has. There may also be an element of personal care that goes along with the position.

The classroom teacher and SENDCo will still have ultimate responsibility for the child's learning but you will be empowered to support the student's achievement levels and help them to realise their potential.

The school is a happy Church of England primary school. From their nursery class to Year 6, the children are at the centre of all they do and achieve. After a 2-week trial period, this role will be contracted long term, starting immediately (September 2020) and running for the duration of the Academic year (until July 2021). The salary for this role will be paid at a daily rate of £70-90.

The admin:
To be successful for this role, you will need an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), professional reference checks, a full 10 years of employment history with any breaks explained, and the legal right to work in the UK.
