Role - Year 1 1-1 Teaching Assistant

Area - North Nottingham

My client is currently looking to recruit an SEN teaching assistant to work 1-1 with a child in year 1 who is a twin the other twin already has 1-1 support. So, you would work alongside them supporting each other.

This role is part time mornings only.

Pay rate is £9.77 - £10.77 per hour

Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported well. The school's provision for pupils with social and emotional needs is highly effective.

Responsibilities for this SEN Support role:

* Support a pupil with Autism who is non-verbal
* Speech and language support
* Experience of working 1-1 with a child with autism
* The child is a twin and the other twin has 1-1 support you will work along-side
* Work on differentiated activities to deliver to the student
* Liaise without side agencies such as physiotherapy to deliver relevant support to the pupil
* Develop social/emotional skills of the pupil
* Work with teachers to monitor progress of the pupil
* Accompanying the pupil to relevant therapy sessions

Requirements for the role:

* Previous experience of working with children or young adults with special needs or care is essential
* A teaching assistant NVQ level 3 or equivalent
* Care work or personal care experience would be an advantage
