Tradewind are working with a special needs school in South Liverpool. They are recruiting for a full time primary trained teacher to work 5 days per week in term time, starting after October half term.

This school has children from Early Years right though to Key Stage 5. All children have a primary Autism diagnosis along with other additional needs including global delay, attachment disorders and speech and language difficulties. The post will currently take you up until April 2021 but has the capacity to be extended. This school regularly reviews offering Tradewind supply staff fixed term contracts.

You will be working with a key stage 2 class and will be expected to plan, mark and accesess in line with a permanent teacher at the school. You will have the support of two teaching assistant and one HLTA. The class consists of 9 children.

The school are looking for previous experience teaching children with ASD however a good knowledge of the mainstream curriculum is required.

We Require:
Relevant degree with QTS
Previous experience with Key Stage 1 or 2
Previous experience working with Autism
Team Teach is desirable but not essential (Tradewind will provide training this year)
Previous experience with phonics
DBS on the update service
Two contactable professional referees
Right to work in the UK
