This inclusive school in the borough of Croydon, South London, are currently looking for an Assistant Headteacher to join and support their dedicated senior leadership team. The position is starting ASAP (or September) and is paying an annual salary of up to £53,372 depending on experience.
This Primary Academy is a vibrant, two-form entry primary school located in Croydon and is part of a larger Education Trust. There have been many positive changes made to the Academy since academisation in 2016. In January 2019 the Academy was graded 'Good', Ofsted recognised staff have high expectations, pupils respond well, they have strong relationships with their teachers and are aspirational for their futures. They believe that every child is different and that everyone deserves the opportunity to be happy, secure and successful. The academy is surrounded by large grounds and benefits from a spacious and attractive site with a good deal of green space, which enables them to take learning outside, including Forest School sessions.
The school is close to East Croydon station but can also be accessed easily by bus or car.
The Headteacher is keen to recruit an Assistant Headteacher.
The Assistant Headteacher must:
*hold QTS or equivalent
*be an excellent teacher with very high expectations of what can be achieved
*have vision, passion and a proven record in school improvement
*be able to lead by example whilst motivating and developing staff
*understand how children learn best and have good behaviour management skills
*have high principles and expectations of achievement in behaviour
*have experience and understanding of EYFS/KS1/KS2
