The secondary school is in Tower Hamlets for children with social and emotional with a therapeutic approach. It has places for between 80 and 112 children and young people, catering for Year 7 to Year 11. Your day as a Behaviour Support Worker will depend entirely on how you support the children and work with a lovely team of support staff. There really are no limits to the interests, passions, hobbies, and activities that the students we support enjoy
The successful person will be supported in a post by a trusted leadership which ensures our:

children achieve highly
children are happy and love actively learning
children leave with the resilience and motivation to continue their successful learning
the community are proud of our schools and excited by what we can achieve together

Students with Social and Emotional Difficulties
Students attend on both full time and part time bases
Students may require 1:1 or work in small classes
Vocational Courses such as Construction, Mechanics, Customer Service & Hair & Beauty
Secondary aged pupils
It is key for this role that you are positive and enjoy having a laugh. The pupils you will be supporting are an active bunch and enjoy various leisure and activities in the community - including swimming, for example. Please ensure you can commit to this role, as reliability for the students you will be supporting is a key factor. They require stability and need support in accessing activities to allow them to achieve their full potential.
The position would suit energetic and creative professionals who are looking to make a difference to the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and mental health difficulties as well as furthering their own professional development. Experience of working in a school is not essential but knowledge and expertise of professional conduct and practices is required - particularly in nurturing approaches and behaviour management similar approaches. You will be joining a school with strong leadership and committed staff team with a growing number of pupils and expanding school.
