Busy, supportive Primary School n Oldham - March 2021 start date -Long Term Contract - Level 2 BSL Assistant Required - No prior school experience required - £75 - £85 per day based on experience and qualifications

Tradewind Recruitment is working with an inclusive, supportive and busy Primary School in Oldham who are seeking a BSL Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This position will be offered on a long term basis and can be a full or part time role depending on your availability. This position is open to all BSL Level 2 Certificate holders who are passionate about seeing people who are deaf and have hearing impairments reach their goals.

***Level 2 BSL Assistant required - Greenwich, South East London

The Role - BSL Assistant - Oldham, Manchester

* Working as part of the inclusion team, you will be supporting deaf and hearing impaired learners within the mainstream classroom by using your sign language skills to translate the class teacher's instruction, to translate conversations between your students and their teacher or peers, and ensuring your students has adequately comprehended the lesson

* You will also be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering individual or small group interventions for your learners who require additional support across certain subjects, ensuring they are progressing academically

* You will also provide pastoral support to any of your learners who are struggling with social, emotional or behavioural issues

The Candidate - BSL Assistant - Oldham, Manchester

* The successful candidate will hold a minimum BSL Level 2 Certificate and be confident with their BSL skills, especially within a school setting, knowing how to translate within the different Primary subjects.

* You will be a bright, personable and approachable individual who can build rapport and successful relationships with students and staff alike

* You will be passionate about advocating for the needs and requirements of your deaf and hearing impaired students, and go above and beyond to ensure they have all the tools they need to achieve their social, emotional, behavioural and academic goals
