BSL Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant that is confident at British Sign Language level 3.
This role is based within a mainstream primary school supporting a child on a 2:1 basis, the other member of staff supports the complex needs of the individual and they are looking for an experienced BSL teaching assistant to join the team.

This role is initially temporary from November 2020 until February 2021; however, the role has the opportunity to go permanent from March 2021.
You will be supported by staff and the SEN department in teaching hearing impaired children and those with speech and language difficulties.

The successful applicant will;
*Hold BSL certification or have sign language experience at level 3 as a minimum and have knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
*Willingly play a part in school life continuing the positive imprint the schools makes in the borough
*The provision is very well resourced with access to the latest visual technology and multiple iPad's to aid pupils understanding.
*An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
*A CV that covers the last 10 years of employment history (where possible) and any employment breaks.
*The legal right to work in the UK
