A lovely secondary school on the island of Guernsey is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and well-qualified, Computer Science teacher with the vision and energy to deliver high standards of teaching and to make a full contribution to the ethos, identity and life of the School and to the Channel Island Federation of Secondary Schools. This role would be starting in April until the end of May 2019 with a view of extending. This teacher would be expected to plan, prep and mark up to GCSE.

The school is looking for some who:
-Has experience teaching Computer Science to GCSE
-Is responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of young people within the school.
-Shares and supports the school's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
-Is available 5 days a week from November until Easter.
-Can locate to Guernsey.

You will be required to maximise opportunities for collaborative working, teaching to GCSE. There is an expectation that you will engage in cross-school initiatives which may require working on more than one site to meet the needs of the Education Service.

You will be required to teach Computer Science KS3 and KS4. You will be able to excite and challenge learners to make rapid progress and will be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning. We are looking for someone who is passionate about raising learners' individual achievements with innovative ideas to build on existing good practice.

This position is a temporary full-time role which offers a competitive rate of pay (paid weekly) and includes flights to and from your placement plus accommodation for one person.

This role would be suitable for experienced practitioners and newly qualified teachers. It would also suit someone who likes a relaxed lifestyle and is happy with their own company! A great experience on a beautiful island!
