Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be making an appointment for the position of Cover Supervisor for a high achieving 11-18 academy in Croydon.

Cover Supervisors work under the guidance of teaching staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement work programmes with individuals/groups in or out of the classroom including the supervision of whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering lessons of any subject, setting high expectations to motivate and challenge students whilst managing behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment. In periods where cover is not required you will support in the classroom as directed. The post would ideally suit an individual considering a teaching career, but applications are welcome from any candidate with integrity, imagination and energy for this rewarding role.

To be successful in this role you will:
*Be enthusiastic about education and helping children to be the best they can be.
*Have some previous experience of working with children in some capacity - this does not have to be within a school setting
*Be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
*Have a CV that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
*Have the legal right to work in the UK.
