Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a Teacher of Design Technology who would like a new challenge in a Liverpool city centre secondary school, rated 'Good' by Ofsted and where staff feel valued and supported by leaders?
Tradewind are currently recruiting a practitioner who possess energy and enthusiasm to engage, challenge and support students in all areas of Design Technology. Offering Art and Design to Key Stage 3 will be an advantage.
This full time Design Technology Teacher role is to start in September 2020 for one term with a view to then go permanent with a salary that will reflect the successful applicants experience: £125 - £184 per day. Applications from experienced and newly qualified teachers are welcome.
Our partner school is an Academy and is situated close to motorway links and is easily accessible by public transport.
You will be expected to :-
Undertake full class teaching responsibility for Design Technology from Year 7 through to GCSE
Deliver Art and Design to Key Stage 3
Plan work in accordance with the departmental schemes of work
Take account of students prior levels of attainment and use them to set future targets
Set work when required for absent students
Maintain good discipline
Establish a purposeful working environment
Set appropriate and challenging work for all students
Identify and work appropriately with pupils with special educational needs
Keep appropriate records
Mark work, give appropriate feedback and prepare students for exams in line with DT GCSE requirements
Assess record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils, as well as on their personal and social needs

To be considered for this position of Design Technology Teacher you will: -
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or UK equivalent
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- Be an outstanding teacher with excellent curriculum subject knowledge
- Be a committed professional with a determination to make a difference
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
- Hold a current child workforce enhanced DBS which is on the update service or be willing to obtain one, with costs refunded after completing 20 days work
