SANZA Teaching Agency are currently supporting an "Ofsted rated Outstanding", Three Form Entry, Creative curriculum School in Brent. SANZA Teaching Agency are looking to recruiting a TA to support Downs Syndrome in Reception (Early Years). This creative and thriving school put learning at the heart of everything they do, to ensure their children gain both the academic skills and social skills to become global citizens.
The School

Their children benefit from plenty of exercise and learning outdoors at all stages of their school life. This a community school for children aged 3 - 11. This schools puts learning at the heart of everything they do, to ensure their children gain both the academic skills and social skills to become global citizens. Their curriculum is focussed on developing fluency of knowledge and skills to enable children to use their imagination and apply their learning to solve problems in order to be able to change the world for the better in the future.
Role:
This role is to support a child with Downs Syndrome alongside some challenging behaviour. The ideal SEND teaching assistant will be a creative specialist who has a passion for working with SEND pupils and has demonstrable experience of working with pupils with Downs Syndrome. As a teaching assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and the SENCO. You will support the pupil with basic phonics, literacy, and numeracy in line with their development goals.
In this role you may:
* prepare learning materials under the supervision of the teacher
* work inside or outside the classroom with individuals or groups
* adapt support according to needs
* look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
* create a stimulating environment
* give information and help to teachers
* keep records and attend review meetings
Role Requirements
* 1+ years' experience within Early Years
* Experience supporting behaviour and downs syndrome
* 2+ years' experience in Education
