Join Tradewind Recruitment for a rewarding opportunity to work as a SEND Teaching Assistant in collaboration with one of our esteemed client schools, located in Liverpool. This role involves working with a leading SEND School, where you'll contribute to the development and growth of children with diverse needs.

Role Overview:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibility is to play a crucial role in assisting children with SEND in achieving their full potential. This involves not only supporting their academic progress but also aiding in the development of essential life skills. The school caters to children aged 3-19 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to children on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Assist in implementing Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) for children.
  • Collaborate with class teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to ensure optimal support for children.
  • Contribute to classroom and behaviour management.

Requirements:

  • A degree in education or a related field (please reach out if uncertain about suitability).
  • Some prior experience working with children would be advantageous.
  • Possession of an Enhanced Child or Child and Adult DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A comprehensive employment or educational history, with any gaps explained.
