Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for two English Teachers to join a successful school accessible from Essex and East London. This charming 11-18 school are able to consider NQT's (Newly Qualified Teachers) upwards for a year long contract teaching English. The other position would be to lead English across Key Stage 4, offering someone with experience the chance to progress and take on additional responsibilities. Both roles are to work on a full-time basis and will start in September 2019.
After consistently performing very well for many years, the school is currently in more of a progressive period. Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is still highly praised, as is the support in place for those in the early stages of their careers. Behaviour is generally very good, with pupils trusting staff to deal with any concerns. The school also offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities, trips and visits.
The successful English teacher will be:
Caring and have the drive and passion to continue to develop strong relationships with staff, students, parents, governors and the local community.
A committed and reliable educator, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout their role.
Able to utilise a variety of teaching methods to present engaging, thoughtful lessons, believing that every student can make outstanding progress.
Up to date knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 (at least) English curriculum with a proven track record or clear potential of results.
The Key Stage 4 English Coordinator will also be rigorous, determined, creative and inspirational in their style and presence as a leader.
