This is a high performing academy secondary school based in the exciting inner London borough of Merton and close to numerous transport links. The school is part of an exceptional multi-trust that are leaders of high attainment and expectations towards pupils with currently 1000+ pupils on role. The school is a close-knit community that has utilised its broad sense of diversity to ensure that every child becomes a respectful, self-disciplined and high aspiring student. A high intake of children have EAL with a large proportion making exceptional outstanding progress in English due to the school's ambitious and supportive learning environment. The attainment levels of students has been maintained as well above national average for numerous years and there are high expectations of classes achieving these particular levels in English during GCSEs and A levels. From September, the school is looking to appoint a driven English teacher who will be able to maintain these "outstanding" levels of engagement and learning.



About the Role - English Teacher - Merton, West London

QTS achieved or expected to be achieved prior to September in Secondary Teaching
Understanding of BTEC, GCSE and A-Level teaching
Ability to teach KS5 Literature or Language
The successful English teacher will be an experienced practitioner with evidence of raising distinct student attainment in the previous practices.
Confident to teach to an "outstanding" standard and enthusiastic to further CPD opportunities.
The school offers English through to A-Level and the opportunity to take on plenty of KS5 teaching is on offer for the English teacher.
