Tradewind Recruitment are looking for an English teacher to start after the October half term (or sooner if available) for a "Good" academy for the remainder of the academic year.

You will be responsible for teaching English to the schools engaging and diverse student population to key stages 3 &4. The department is 7 strong and offers great facilities and superb results that were praised by Ofsted in their most recent report. The school have a great induction / support programme for NQT's or instructors looking to achieve a formal qualification.

The school is a well-lit, purpose built, modern building with superb facilities. Staff and students benefit from the specialist equipment, pragmatic SLT and a unified teaching team.

We are looking for
*A competent and capable teacher who can teach English across KS 3 & 4 and demonstrate excellent subject knowledge.
*We are looking for driven and enthusiastic teachers who are able to deliver varied and diverse lessons.
*With the potential for growth, development and promotion within the department and School this is a great opportunity to secure a post for the full academic year on a contract or permanent basis.

You will be responsible for teaching classes in KS 3 & 4 and be available for pastoral responsibility with a form group. You will be working closely with the HOD / SLT to ensure consistency and continuity is delivered across all areas of the department and every pupil makes the required progress.

The school is based within a short drive of the M1 and M25 and offers staff parking and good transport links to main bus and train links.

To join this successful and integral department you will need to:

Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
You will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, overseas police clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
