EYFS Teaching Assistant position

Tameside, Greater Manchester

Come and join Tradewind and work in the heart of Tameside, dedicated to providing outstanding care and education to young children. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Practitioner to join our dynamic team.

Position: EYFS Practitioner
Location: Tameside
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote children's learning and development across all areas of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Create a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, fostering a sense of belonging and community within the nursery.
  • Carry out observations, assessments, and record-keeping to track children's progress and inform future planning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and maintain high standards of care and education.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children in an early years setting, preferably within the EYFS framework.
  • Knowledge and understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their holistic development.
