Tradewind are currently recruiting for a Geography teacher, for a year long placement, in a school near York!

Tradewind are working with a wonderful private school on the outskirts of York, who require a teacher of Geography on a full time basis, for the full academic year. All planning and marking associated with a teaching role is expected for this position, and for this reason you will be paid to scale in accordance with the Main Teaching Pay Scale. There is potential to negotiate this to a part time contract, for the right candidate. We are looking for a practitioner who can start as soon as possible.

You will be working in a truly excellent school with a wonderful reputation and students who are enthusiastic and looking to learn. You will be teaching high achieving students, who relish the opportunity for stretching and challenging. Primarily you will be teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Geography, but there may be some potential for History teaching to Key Stage 3 students. This position has arisen as class sized in the Geography department are large, and the school wishes to reduce class sizes. This is an excellent position for a practitioner who is looking to teach excellent students who wish to learn. You will have the opportunity to teach smaller class sizes than traditional, to focus on teaching and learning, progress, and student welfare; without having to worry about behaviour management issues.
The role:
*Teaching KS3 and KS4 Geography
*Planning and marking in line with the national curriculum
*Teaching KS3 History (potentially)
*Attending after school meetings and parents evenings

Essential requirements:
Experience working in a secondary school
QTS
