About the School - Head of Art & Design - Enfield, North London
Starting in September this soon to be large all-through school is looking to appoint a Head of Art & Design to join the school on a permanent basis. The school has 2000 students on role from ages 4 to 19 and delivers an outstanding level of education to the pupils of Enfield, North London. Located in a lower socioeconomic part of the borough the school finds that most of its pupils are eligible for free school meals and many have previously been classed as EAL learners. Entry ability levels at the school are not at national averages but the school has a number of key methods to ensure that this is quickly rectified and the students at this school can go on to achieve. One of the most important aspects to achievement at this school is the strict behaviour policy in place designed to ensure that teachers are able to maximise the amount of time they spend teaching as opposed to dealing with behaviour. As a new school none of the students have ever known anything different and there is a calm atmosphere around the school.
Role requirements - Head of Art & Design - Enfield, North London
*QTS in Secondary Art or Design with the ability to teach either of the subjects through to A-Level.
*The desire to lead a department across both Art and Design Technology as one faculty.
*Be an outstanding teacher able to progress teachers from all backgrounds.
*Have the desire to pass your skill and teaching knowledge on to other staff in order to help their personal development.
