Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a full-time teacher of Health and Social Care for one of our client schools in the St. Helens area. The school are seeking to appoint a Health and Social Care teacher to a position starting in September 2020. The position is expected to continue for the full academic year.
The school are seeking to appoint a Health and Social Care teacher who is comfortable teaching at both Key Stages 4 and 5. At KS4, commencing in Year 9, you will deliver the Level 2 course focusing on units such as an introduction to Health and Social Care as well as Professional Practice. At KS5, the students will be following the Level 3 course and you will be required to deliver units such as Equality, Diversity and Rights, Safeguarding in Social Care and Human Growth Development
The most recent Ofsted inspection highlighted that, "pupils benefit from varied and high quality opportunity to enhance their personal development". The school are dedicated to a culture of the highest expectations and students achieve through an ethos of high standards. This school has excellent transport links. It is situated off a major A road and accessible from the A580 and M62 motorways. The closest train station, which is located on the Manchester to Liverpool line, is a 5 minute walk from the school.

*Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification;
*Have experience teaching Health and Social Care across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5;
*This position is subject to Enhanced DBS, Overseas police check (if applicable) and satisfactory references;
*Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
*Have the legal right to work in the UK.
