Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a full-time teacher of Health and Social Care for one of our client schools in the St. Helens area. The school are seeking to appoint a Health and Social Care teacher to a position starting in September 2020. The position is expected to continue for the full academic year.
The Role
The school are seeking to appoint a Health and Social Care teacher who is comfortable teaching at both Key Stages 4 and 5. At KS4, commencing in Year 9, you will deliver the Level 2 course focusing on units such as an introduction to Health and Social Care as well as Professional Practice. At KS5, the students will be following the Level 3 course and you will be required to deliver units such as Equality, Diversity and Rights, Safeguarding in Social Care and Human Growth Development

It is situated off a major A road and accessible from the A580 and M62 motorways. The closest train station, which is located on the Manchester to Liverpool line, is a 5 minute walk from the school.

*Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification;
*Have experience teaching Health and Social Care across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5;
*This position is subject to Enhanced DBS, Overseas police check (if applicable) and satisfactory references;
*Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
*Have the legal right to work in the UK.
