Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be working with a Primary School in Burnley to appoint to a Part time HLTA to join their experienced team on a temp to perm basis. This role will be working 2 full days and 3 mornings within school.

This is a 0.5 form entry school is located on the outskirts of Burnley. The Head Teacher describes the school as busy, thriving, popular and successful, with everyone involved working hard to help pupils to be the best they can and get the most out of their time in school.

The person appointed will have recent and relevant primary experience across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. You must be able to provide cover for all subjects and be able plan for the afternoon sessions (predominantly RE, music, PSHCE and PE lessons), in addition to marking, assessing and reporting to parents in the subjects you cover on a weekly basis. SLT are seeking an adaptable, hardworking and inclusive person to join an existing thriving, capable and highly effective team. The appointed person will be expected to be fully committed to the values and the vision of the school.

You must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of effective teaching as a class teacher across the primary age and have a thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum. In addition, the ability to assess accurately and deliver a broad, balanced and exciting Curriculum covering all aspects of learning.

To apply for this role, you must have completed your HLTA qualification and have a minimum of 6 - 12 months classroom-based experience, strong behaviour management and excellent references are essential for this role.

The successful candidate will be required to cover classes in the afternoon on a regular timetabled basis and will offer cover for any staff absences throughout the week. This is a full-time role from October 2018 until at least Christmas. There is a strong possibility that you will be offered a full-time perm contract from September 2019.

The school is easily accessible via car or a variety of public transport links.
