This school is a co-educational school with year on year excellent results in GCSE and A-levels, in fact in 2019 they achieved their highest ever results in both exams-a result that prior to the current Covid-19 crisis, the school were, again, on course to surpass. You will be joining a well-resourced, well supported History Department made up of 8 full-time History Teachers offering lessons from Key Stage 3 through to A-level. The timetable currently left vacant due an internal promotion is split across Key Stage 3 and 4, but with the possibility of future opportunities to teach AS and A2 History. The school pride themselves on offering teachers the chance to fulfil their passion, so if the A-level side of the syllabus is one that you are passionate about then you can fulfil that desire at this school.
The role will be a full-time, permanent appointment through the school from either July 2020 or September 2020; skype interviews will take place as soon as a suitable CV is received.
Please note that this school has excellent accessibility. The current cohort travel from across the capital due to the school being serviced by numerous overground and underground stations as well as onsite parking for free for all staff and excellent transport links; it is a 5 minute walk from a number of these train stations as well. To join us and be successful in this History NQT Teacher role you will need to:
Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications.
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable and professional reference checks.
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history, where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.
You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
