We are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant (KS2) on behalf of a large primary school based in Oldham. This school is committed to ensuring every child receives the best possible education which enables them to achieve their potential. They are proud of a rich curriculum which enables children to learn from first hand experiences both in the classroom and in the outdoor environment.

The new headteacher provides a strong vision across the school that all staff work together to achieve. The school has a strong and approachable leadership team who are always available for staff to receive extra support and guidance.

The school is based in Oldham and is accessible via car or bus.

About the role

This primary school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within one of their Year 4 classes. The successful candidate must have excellent behaviour management and a good knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum. You must be a committed practitioner who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role.

The role itself will involve working within Year 4, supporting the class teacher and helping with the delivery of the National Curriculum. You will be required to work with children to help them learn, monitor their work and help raise their self-esteem. You may also be required to work with children in small groups or students on a 1:1 basis to deliver Maths and English intervention lessons.

To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:

* Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
* Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
* Have the legal right to work in the UK
