Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for care staff with PMLD experience, to join our team of LSAs (Learning Support Assistants) to work in a successful Special needs school in South Bristol, to start as soon as possible. The positions are Full time & part-time, short to long term role, paying up to £70 a day. The working hours are 0830-1530 during weekdays and would allow care and support staff to work in other shifts during the weekends and evenings.

We are recruiting on behalf of a SEND school in Bristol, which caters for students from KS1 to KS5. The school caters for young people with additional needs principally in the areas of Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Speech Language and Communication (SLCN) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) at the lower-operating end of the spectrum. All young people attending this school have an official statement of SEN (Special Educational Needs) or EHCP (Education and Health Care Plan). The school is an 'Good' educational provider and is delivering promising outcomes for students in the local area.

This OFSTED 'Good' SEN school is looking for support staff with physical disability experience who can support young people within the classroom. The ideal candidate will support young people with lower-functioning Autism and physical disabilities with ease as well as provide personal care as needed. You must have worked in care settings with young people or young adults with additional needs. Manual handling and Positive behaviour management training is highly desirable.


The school is in South Bristol, with good public transport links and ample parking.

To join us and be successful in this support roles, you will need to:
*Hold at least a Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification
* Be willing to work in PMLD school and support young people with personal care needs with compassion and understanding as well as following school's behaviour and safeguarding policies.
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
*Have a CV covering at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
