Are you enthusiastic about supporting children's learning and development? Do you have experience working in a primary school setting and assisting teachers in delivering high-quality education? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant at a thriving primary school in South Liverpool.

The Role:

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the classroom teacher and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the planning and preparation of learning activities and resources.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils, helping them to access the curriculum and make progress in their learning.
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Promoting positive behaviour management strategies and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support the overall well-being and academic success of each child.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school community.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
