Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with previous experience of working with children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), who are passionate about supporting students' learning and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within mainstream classrooms.
  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering differentiated lessons and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum, developing social skills, and building independence in their learning.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and provide pastoral support to students as required.
  • Collaborate with SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals to ensure the holistic development and inclusion of students with SEN.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation, and adaptation of classroom resources and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience of working with children, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), is essential.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and experience implementing appropriate support strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, with a proactive and flexible approach.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and well-being.
  • Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance or willingness to undergo a check prior to employment.
