An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part time Maths teacher to assist this experienced and professional department at a 'Good' academy based in the Buckinghamshire countryside in England.
The post is for 2 days a week covering the senior department members on a Monday and Tuesday each week. The role is currently being filled on a cover basis and the HOD is looking for an experienced teacher, Newly Qualified Teacher or Experienced cover supervisor or HLTA to make the role their own for the remainder of the academic year.
If you were looking for full time hours, this role could easily be supplemented with casual relief teaching work on the other days available, allowing greater flexibility or work/life balance.
Behaviour in the school is good for the majority and where needed the behaviour policy is simple, effective and used throughout the school. Pupils are keen to learn and the timetable for this role is comprised of a lot of well behaved, academically motivated classes across years 8,9 and 10. The department is 8 strong and well balanced between experienced and newly qualified teachers. Staff are well looked after and respected by pupils and SLT alike and duties will include some planning and occasional marking.
The successful teacher will have a passion for Mathematics, and a track record of engaging teaching. You will hold and embody the highest expectations of your pupils and will have the drive and ambition to create an outstanding environment for learning, in Mathematics and beyond.
