Moving and Handling trained Learning support assistant.

Are you a Teaching Assistant with Moving and Handling training?

Tradewind are working closely with a SEN setting in Sheffield with a high demand for moving and handling trained Teaching Assistant on both an ad-hoc basis and for longer term cover.
The school educates children from primary to secondary age with complex needs including PMLD, and moderate to severe Autism so of whom require a Learning Support Assistant with Moving and Handling training.
The school also offer training to Tradewind Candidates including Team Teach and Personal Care with Dignity.

Experience using alternative methods of communication such as MAKATON and PEC's would also be beneficial for this role.
The school was graded good by Ofsted in May 2017 and was praised for children's good behaviour and the effective management of senior leaders. The school is very well equipped to cater to children with complex needs and is easily accessible from Sheffield and Chesterfield with good public transport links.


We are looking for:
* Excellent communication and behaviour management techniques
* Teaching Assistant Level or Degree Qualified
* Confidence in dealing with challenging behaviour
* Team Teach Trained
* Experience with supporting SEN students
* Be able to confidently work as part of the team and independently
