Tradewind are currently in communication with newly qualified teachers, who are worrying about acquiring work for the new academic year, based on the current situation in the world, and with schools. Here to alleviate the panic and the stress, Tradewind are working hard to get newly qualified teachers registered and ready to work in September, where we are expecting a huge influx in needs for teachers, in both longer term positions (many of which you can complete terms of your NQT), or shorter term positions until January, when schools will no doubt be advertising on a permanent basis for staff. While this time is undoubtedly stressful for all, this could be an extremely good opportunity to work in a variety of different schools, obtain a longer term position (which often go permanent) and really add to your experience as a teacher and an educator.
With three qualified teachers in the office, Tradewind Hull are offering a multitude of CPD courses, aiming to keep you fresh and up to date with the long absence from being in the classroom. We welcome applications from trainees in all disciplines, as we work with a multitude of schools, all who will have different needs as this crisis finishes and normality is restored.
In terms of payment, we offer £110.00 for daily cover bookings, and all long term bookings will be paid to the main pay scale, meaning you will be paid exactly what you would be paid as a newly qualified teacher on a permanent contract. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you are interested in our process, the way in which we operate, the schools we work with, or more information about how supply teaching works. We are still working 7AM to 5:30PM each day, so would be happy for you to get in touch and ask about the process, and get you registered. Obviously with the current times, this registration process will be done electronically, and from there we will process your registration, with just some finishing touches needed when measures are relaxed, and social contact is once again permitted and advised.
Working on a supply basis (daily), is an excellent opportunity to improve upon skills learned during your training year (for example behaviour management skills), and provides the opportunity to increase your confidence within a number of schools in the local area. Many of our NQTs over the past couple of years have gone on to gain permanent employment in a school that we have placed them in, so there are ample opportunities to gain permanent employment, if this is what you are looking for. Working on a supply basis also provides the opportunity to work in settings that otherwise you would not experience, such as pupil referral units or SEN schools, which can provide excellent experience for your next position.
The role :
* Working on a flexible basis in many of the schools in Hull and the East Riding
Managing behaviour of students using a range of behaviour management policies
Planning and marking in line with the national curriculum (long term supply)
Attending parents evenings (long term supply)
Liaising with heads of departments to create excellent resources for your department (long term supply)
Liaising with safeguarding leads
Working alongside a teaching assistant to provide bespoke learning to students who need it.

The benefits of registering with Tradewind:

*We attract top education talent and in return offer top rates of pay
*We care about your training and development more than any other agency - which is why we can offer you more certified CPD courses than any other education recruitment agency, 30 to be exact!
*Great referral scheme - recommend a friend and earn a brilliant bonus!
*Full interview preparation and assistance - so you're fully prepped and confident, increasing your chances of success
*Help with lesson planning - our support doesn't stop once we've secured you a placement
