The pupils have a range of needs including complex medical needs, PMLD, Down Syndrome and ASD. Therefore, it is essential to possess an empathetic approach to the learners. You will need to be aware of boundaries. The school wants someone to join them who can add value and make a positive impact on the children's lives.
Working within this SEN school you will work alongside a dedicated SLT team who will assist you where possible to reach your full potential in the classroom. The staff have a positive and passionate attitude they are committed to bringing fun and happiness in to the children's daily school routine.
The right candidate will be motivated, patient and passionate about the children and their daily learning. The school offer weekly yoga sessions to their pupils, swimming lessons as well as domesticated daily activities to encourage pupils to be independent and ready for when they leave school. The School prides itself on offering pupils the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities that impact positively on their health and fitness to equip pupils with the knowledge and desire to make lifestyle choices that have a positive effect on both their short and long-term wellbeing.
