Are you a key stage 2 teacher who is looking for an exciting new teaching opportunity in North London for an Easter start?
Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a school graded as "outstanding" by Ofsted in Enfield, North London, which is seeking a teacher with experience of teaching KS2 to take a Year 3 class from Easter, until the end of the academic year in July 2020. There may be the possibility of a position being available in September.
This school is amazing! Led by a by a great Head and senior leadership team, you will be joining a hard-working team. Two-form entry, you will be working with a great parallel class teacher who has been in the year group for two years and you will be working closely as a team, planning together each week.
The school requires a teacher with experience in KS2, or possibly who has recently been teaching Year 2 to work with this lovely class. They are made up of a range of abilities and have some children who are quite new to English and also some very able children, so differentiation is very important to help all children work towards their potential and more.
The school has a very mixed intake with children from a range of backgrounds. Children are motivated and like varied, challenging activities.
The class itself has around 30 pupils, with good behaviour and who are keen to learn. The school has great resources and facilities.
For this key stage 2 teacher role, the school is seeking a teacher who:
*Has experience of teaching lower KS2 pupils
*Is able to motivate and inspire students to learn.
*Is highly motivated and willing to use their initiative, but who can also slot in as part of a team.
*Demonstrates a variety of teaching and learning strategies.
*Possesses good written and verbal communication skills as you will be working with some children new to English
*Is willing to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school, such as after school clubs
The core duties of this Year 3 teacher role are:
*You will take responsibility for teaching a Year 3 class, working closely with the parallel Year 3 teacher
*To be able to inspire and lead a motivated, lively and fun class
*To help the children achieve their full potential
*To encourage independent learning
The school has a very enthusiastic team on board and you will become an integral part of this.
The role will continue until July 2020, possibly longer.
