An outstanding, independent school in the heart of Tower Hamlets is recruiting a Year 4 and English lead teacher for a September start.

Are you an experienced and motivated Year 4 teacher with a strong English background, looking to take up a permanent role at an inclusive Independent school in Tower Hamlets?
This coveted role commences in September and the school can offer salaries of well above the National pay scales. Salaries start at £28000 - £38241.

This non-selective independent school with Christian values, is a co-educational day school for primary aged pupils close to Victoria Park and Regent's Canal in East London. The school was established in 1948 and has recently undergone extensive renovations. There has been considerable investment in their new facilities including the construction of 12 new classrooms and a state of the art performance studio. The grounds are landscaped which include climbing frames and an astroturf sports' court.

This three-form entry school, has small class sizes and there are at least two adults to one classroom.

The school has gained an enviable record of excellence and achievement for boys and girls from 2½ to 13 years of age. Children and parents are guided through the education process to ensure the children attain the highest standards and meet their potential.

As the successful applicant, you will have good knowledge of the Year 4 curriculum and a firm commitment to supporting all the children in your class. You will help pupils meet high standards of behaviour, appearance and punctuality, and a purposeful attitude to work. At all times, you will be expected to uphold the good name of the school and maintain confidentiality.
The school are looking for a Year 4 teacher who possesses the following qualities:
*Recent experience of teaching Year 4 in an independent or mainstream primary school
*Sound knowledge and understanding of leading English through-out the school
*The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that will meet the needs of all the children irrespective of ability
*Sympathy to the ethos of the school

Job Requirements
*Hold QTS status or equivalent Primary teaching qualification
*Overseas Trained Teachers will be considered if you have a comparable qualification with a UK teaching qualification and you can comply with the other points
*This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
*You must have the legal right to work in the UK
