Tradewind is recruiting! We are currently looking to recruit a teaching assistant with experience of supporting young people with behavioural difficulties for a school in Bristol. The school is a Special needs school catering for young people with Social and emotional difficulties and has excellent reputation for providing education for pupils at risk of exclusion. They are looking for someone who is understanding, approachable as well as able to build good rapport with pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds. The role is full time and due to start on 19th April 2021 and likely to continue until the end of academic year.
This role might be ideal for you if most of the below apply to you:
- You have previous experience supporting young people in or outside education settings
- You can work 0830 - 1530 hours
- You have experience in managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour
- You have a firm and fair approach to behaviour management
- You have experience/Training in Special Educational Needs
- You are available immediately to start after Easter and can work term-time.
- You have certificates/training in Tea-teach or Positive Behaviour Management.
