Tradewind are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic full-time teacher of Science (with a specialism, in Biology, Chemistry or Physics), to teach in all three key stages in a lively, high achieving multi-cultural school located in East Ham, London.

Tradewind are recruiting a Teacher of Science (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) who is:
A subject specialist with an ability and willingness to teach across all of the Key Stages
Passionate about the subject and has excellent subject knowledge to challenge and enthuse our highly able and ambitious students
ICT literate and able to contribute to the further development of ICT for both teaching and learning.
A confident and highly effective classroom teacher, sensitive to pupils' needs and with high expectations of what can be achieved.
A team player who is capable of working closely with the rest of the department.

The role would be to teach both Key stage 3 & 4 General Science. Achievement is strong at both GCSE and A-Level in all three sciences. The department is well established and equipped with up-to-date resources. The sciences are the most popular subjects at A level, with many students proceeding to study science based courses at elite Russell Group universities, including Oxbridge. The sciences are taught as separate subjects from key stage 3 to 5 and they currently employ 30 highly qualified biology, chemistry and physics teachers. There are excellent professional development opportunities.

Average class size is 24 at key stages 3 and 4.
