About the School - Science Teacher - Richmond, West London

Based in the picturesque borough of Richmond, this welcoming secondary school are now seeking a like-minded teacher who is passionate about challenging all students to succeed! This mixed comprehensive secondary is an ambitious setting where expectations are high through effective pastoral care. The school has had a recent change of headship where Ofsted have highlighted the new head of school as able to confidently identify how to keep the school on a continued track to success! The successful Science teaching will be teaching in a bright, spacious building with newly refurbished whole school laboratory rooms which include interactive whiteboards. Furthermore, the school also benefits from a new sixth form building where students are achieving excellent Science KS5 results in the state-of-the-art specialist Physics studio and A level laboratories. You will be joining a passionate team of eleven Science teachers which allows flexibility in teaching specialism for A levels. The school is now seeking a Science teacher (any specialism) to maintain high standards and to motivate the growing and thriving sixth form intake who are keen to study A Level Sciences. Due to an increased A level intake this year and an upcoming maternity leave, the school are now seeking an additional permanent Science teacher who is looking for an exciting challenge!


About the Role - Science Teacher - Richmond, West London

*QTS achieved or expected to be achieved prior to January 2020 in Secondary Science Teaching.
*Clear understanding of the principals of effective teaching and strong behaviour management.
*Ability to plan creatively and confidently differentiate with pupils from all backgrounds
*Understanding of GCSE and A-Level teaching
*Excellent subject knowledge within Science teaching (any specialism)
*Desire to be developed into an "outstanding" Science teacher through proactivity and continuous CPD.
