Tradewind Recruitment are working with a busy Secondary School in Hillingdon who are in need of a confident Science Technician who can join their Science faculty ASAP. This is a full time position (36 hours per week, term time only) which will run until the end of the academic year in the first instance.

About the role - Science Technician - Hillingdon:
*Your responsibilities will include supporting science teaching staff, preparing materials and equipment for use in Key Stage 3 - 5 Science classes
*Ensure that students and teachers alike are practicing safety regulations at all times within the laboratory
*Maintaining equipment and materials to ensure they are in a good and safe condition
*Cleaning and safely disposing of materials and equipment after their use in practical lessons
*Sourcing supplies and placing orders when necessary
*Assisting the class teacher and students in demonstration and practical lesson when required

About the candidate - Science Technician - Hillingdon:
*As the successful applicant, you will hold a Bachelor of Science in any discipline (2:1 minimum)
*Have experience within a laboratory setting either professionally or through university and be confident with laboratory techniques and apparatus
*Have a strong understanding of COSHH and its importance, and be willing to uphold this at all times
*Be organised, professional, confident and have excellent communication skills, allowing you to work well within a team setting

This school is in close proximity to National Rail Services, London Underground stations and local buses, so is easily accessible from North, West and Central London.
