Secondary Teaching Assistant

Gloucestershire
We are currently looking for strong secondary Teaching Assistants to work in our Secondary mainstream schools in the Gloucester area from September 2020. Following the pandemic, we are expecting to require additional staff to help support returning students get back on top of their learning. You will be expected to support KS3 & KS4 students on a 1:1 basis as well as a classroom setting. The students you will be supporting will be mixed ability, some with special educational needs, so the successful Teaching Assistants will have to have experience adapting to each students needs. This role is starting in September 2020 on a short term basis 5 days a week, but could lead to permanent contracts for the right individuals.

You must be able to engage with the students and help them with their daily lessons. Having experience of working with children with SEND or behaviour difficulties would be preferred but not required. You do not necessarily need to have experience of working in a school environment, but previous proven experience of working with children aged between 11 and 16 is essential. It is also essential that you have a minimum of 5 GCSE's graded C or above and a strong general knowledge and good level of ability at Maths and English is also essential.

If you're interested in this Teaching Assistant role in the Gloucester area, please email your CV to michelle.withers@twrecruitment.com or call 0117 301 7578 for further information.
