To start in January, this position is working closely alongside the class teacher and working with a class of 10 pupils. Students in this class have a wide range of abilities and needs and do require a high level of support. Aged 2-4 years old, pupils have Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, may be wheel chair bound, nonverbal and require support with medical needs. Experience with manual handling, medication and personal cares is highly desired in this role.

The position is a senior role in the class as this is one of the largest classes in the school. The class teacher is responsible for all lesson planning and resources, but the nursery nurse will be responsible for running group interventions with up to 5 pupils in an adjoining class. This role is to begin as soon as the school term starts and continue for the duration of the academic year. For the right candidate, a permanent role may be available. The hours of work are 8.45am - 3.45pm, Monday to Friday.

The school forms a community hub for many families with children with disabilities and has regular evening and weekend community events. Pupils at the school are 2-11 years old and the school caters for Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties.

*Has a CACHE level 2 or 3 qualification

*Has worked as a Nursery Nurse or SEN Teaching Assistant in a similar role, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach
*Is Confident providing 1:1 support and facilitating small groups
*Is a proactive team player
