Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic KS4 Science Teacher, to join a successful SEN school in Bristol, to start after Easter 2020. This is a full time, long term role that will become permanent after an initial period of a term, paying up to £150 a day.

We are recruiting on behalf of this successful Alternative provision in Bristol which caters for students in Year 10 and Year 11 with SEMH.

This SEN school teaches their students in small class size settings (Typically groups of six learners) which will enable the teacher to get to know the students well. You will be supported by a range of training opportunities including the possibility of further post graduate learning as well expert advice from their in-house support team of specialist teachers, SENCO, higher level teaching assistants and experienced SLT.

In this role, primary areas of responsibility will be to:
Plan, deliver, and regularly review engaging Science Curriculum
Encourage the development of positive attitudes to learning through well-planned teaching experiences.
Have a creative and innovative approach to planning and teaching to re-engage disaffected learners in education and overcome barriers to learning.
Support the preparation for OFSTED inspections and ensure the Independent Schools Standards are met
Monitor student learning, social, emotional and behavioural progress against targets

To join us and be successful in this role, you will need to:

*Hold QTS Status or equivalent qualification.
*Have Special Educational Needs (SEN) knowledge and experience working with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH); although not essential.
*A strong desire to have an impact on the lives of vulnerable young people
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
*Have a CV covering at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
